lazy curls routine | Shea Moisture Products

12:11:00

I get lots of people asking me what i do with my hair, what treatments, products all sorts and to be honest i keep it simple. partly because I dont have the biggest bank of knowledge [ literally what i watch on youtube] or because i dont  really have the time or money to be spending on loads of different products.

up until mason was born i was straightening my hair most days because i hated my hair curly. but when he came along i didnt have an hour in the mornings to do it! so i had to embrace the curls! My hair routine is now only 10-15 mins in the mornings.

My everyday go to product is the TRESemme botanique collection- i only really use the conditioner, i use it as a leave it and everything! you can grab it in tesco and sometimes its half price which means its about £3! id use it after spraying my hair with water and then use the palm stroke  [see below] and style as normal.

Yesterday i pushed the boat out and purchased some shea moisture products from boots! [ yes boots stock black hair stuff] so i thought i'd put together a little tutorial of my routine using the new products.

so i start with my hair like this, in a pineapple! i use a really big hairband to tie my hair up at  night.

i then spritz my hair with just water- i got this bottle from poundland! i spray my hair all over until its damp then run my hands over my hair just to make sure its all damp. my crown is always the driest so i give that an extra spray.

i then grab 2 pumps and a squirt of this stuff, its really watery, so you dont need loads. I kinda use a couple of pumps for each side of my hair. i again run that through, at this point i use my fingers and really get it into my hair.

then i get a fair amount of this curl enhancing smoothie and smooth it through my hair. I have a technique i like to call it the palm stroke [LOL] i find it helps to form my curls more, makes a bigger curl if that makes sense.

The Palm Stroke

After ive given my head a shake and a smooth i get the hair dryer, i pop it onto medium heat and high speed ( mainly for time) on the weekends i use cool heat.

i will add a couple of videos at the end of this post just so you can see what i actually do !

But this is the final product. i fluff my roots and off i go! throughout the day i continue to fluff my hair but thats basically all i do, it takes me 10 mins in the morning.

Im loving the results from this stuff and everyone at work is mentioning how lovely it smells, apparently im making the reception smell tropical!

The shea moisture is actually on 3 for 2 at boots as well!
