The time has come where sitting down and doing puzzles or flash cards are kind of obsolete, so in comes apps and ipads. If your toddler is anything like mine then they can probably use a tablet better than your parents and grand parents, scary right?
Masons a dab hand on his ipad and can pretty much navigate his whole way round it. Because of his addiction to the thing i had to make sure he wasnt just watching endless episodes of the ever so delightful peppa pig, so in comes Tiny hands!
Tiny hands are a range of apps that believe that kids learn best from playing, so teamed up with some pretty clever people to put together fun games that help children learn and develop new skills. They have apps for 1+ to 3+ and can be brought through the app store [some levels are free when you first download, you have to purchase the full app for £2.99]
We have 3 of the 10 apps available, sorting 1,2 and 3 which all have different games from matching colours and shapes to learning sizes and classification. Mason loves playing all of them and sometimes prefers them to netflix, he can choose the ones he wants as they are easy to navigate and play along at his own pace.
He loves to pop the balloons at the end of the level onces hes completed it. each app has 5 levels growing in difficulty, all with different themes.
In the app store you can either purchase bundles of the apps or download the free levels, or like i said above purchase the full apps for £2.99 each,
Below your'll see some of the screen grabs and levels in the apps! There are all sorts, animals, shapes, vehicles, counting, you name it and its there. I like to show him how each level works so we play together at first but he soon gets the hang of them.
It really has helped mason with his colours and shapes and he can now say if something is a green triangle or a orange circle ect. I really would recommend the apps to anyone.
Let me know if you download the apps or if you have any apps your littles love to play!
