£5 facials for oily skin | quick fix facials review

The every day busy mum doesn't really have time for a weekly facial, nor the money, and if you do then you lucky cow im jealous. so for all us other mummas that still need to look after ourselves and not look like death warmed up we have to try and search the isles for an at home facial that will a) not waste our hard earned money and break the bank and b) actually work. theres nothing worse than wasting money, time and effort for something that doesnt work... this is where quick fix facials come in.

They do a whole range but today were focusing on the anti-blemish mud mask for oily and spot prone skin and the ex-foliating scrub mask for blackheads and blocked pores purely because these are my problem areas and if you have oily skin also then your'll want to try these out too.

Ive been using this for about a month and a half. using it once a week mostly. I do have quite oily skin and i was always find that my foundation would end melting off and id look like a hot mess, so i brought primer and it helped but then i found this quick fix mud mask in tesco and thought why not!

The mask is for excess oil, congested blemish prone skin or combination skin which is what i have and it claims to help on all the below issues with the active ingredients.

Dead sea Mud-which helps absorbs and control oil production.
Salicylic Acid- which helps draw out impurities and tighten pores
Tea Tree Oil- which helps treat spots and prevent future blemishes.

And it really does all that! ive found im not using my primer as much now and i only have the odd couple of greasy horrible spots every now and then.

The smell isnt the most pleasant, it literally does just smell like mud but this could be a good thing it must mean they havent added any crap to make it smell like some tropical island.

The consistency is really thick, but rubs in well. once you've left it on for 10 mins ( i leave mine on for about 30) your face does start to feel a bit stiff but not so you cant do anything.

you can then wash it off with warm water and you can seen the effects straight away.My felt looked and felt alot less oily!

next is the ex-foliating scrub mask. i wouldnt really call it a mask. its definitely more a scrub, but i did leave it on for ten minutes (rubbing my face every few mins) and it did wonders for my skin. ive only used it a couple of times but it makes my face seem so clean and soft and gets rid of all the dirt in my pores and in return makes my pores seem smaller making foundation sit better on my face!

The scrub has 3 ingredients to help with blackheads and blocked pores.

Pink Rose Clay- to help deep cleanse and de-congest the skin
Glycolic Acid- to help even out skin tone
Pomegranate Extract-to help with radiant skin and has anti-ageing properties.

and to be honest it helped. my skin looked peachy. i didnt look like death so it was a bonus!

The consistancy is much like the anti-blemish mask but with little ex-foliating beads in and has a slight rose sent to it. nothing too strong but makes it a bit more appealing!

Both masks are avaliable at boots online here.you can find the whole product range there too and they are actually on offer at the moment on 3 for 2. so for £4.99 these are certainly not a waste of money and do really work.
